Born in Copiapó, Chile, and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Jose brings a deep multicultural perspective shaped by more than 20 years in the U.S. and extensive international travel. His experiences have given him a unique ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, adapt seamlessly to any environment, and build strong working relationships with crews and talent around the world.

Over the past decade, Jose has worked as a director of photography, camera operator, gimbal operator, and focus puller. His career has taken him from the jungles of the Ecuadorian Amazon and the Colombian Pacific Coast to the White House, where he filmed the President of the United States and multiple First Ladies, as well as major campaigns for top brands and leading broadcast and streaming networks.

As a proud member of IATSE Local 600, Jose combines technical expertise with creative vision. He is detail-oriented, collaborative, and always exploring innovative ways to bring his clients’ ideas to life.
